Ahead of the 2021 Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) Awardee Meeting hosted virtually by CAISE in October, the National Science Foundation provided technical assistance materials to help support current projects attending the meeting. We are making these materials available for projects who may have missed the meeting and for potential AISL applicants. CAISE will provide a summary and disseminate content from the Awardee meeting in December.

In this video, Julie Johnson, Program Director & Co-Lead of the Advancing Informal STEM learning (AISL) Program at NSF, shares changes to the 2021 AISL solicitation and updates to the PAPPG, as well as details about NSF funding opportunities.

If you’re a currently funded project and have questions about your grant and reporting requirements, Cartia Brown-Morgan, NSF Grant Management Specialist, developed this recording about grant and fiscal management for AISL awards. The PowerPoint slides with narration are also available if you prefer to download it. Remember to click on the speaker icon Picture1on each slide to hear the narration.

CAISE has many other resources for current and potential projects. Information about the current AISL solicitation can be found here, along with recent and past NSF webinars about applying for AISL funding. Research and evaluation for proposals is also more fully explored on the Discover Research and Design Evaluation sections of the website. Also be sure to check out resources for your project lifecycle under Developing a Project, which includes Funding, Reporting to Funders, and Dissemination.
