Join our community of informal science researchers and practitioners committed to advancing equity and justice through relationship building, knowledge sharing, and collaborative action.
The Reimagining Equity and Values in Informal STEM Education (REVISE) Center encourages, supports, facilitates, and amplifies affinity and interest groups that transform into communities of practice for change across the informal STEM education field. We aim to walk alongside our communities of practice that are cross-disciplinary ISE practitioners and researchers who seek to incorporate and practice equity within their spheres of influence. We seek to create inclusive spaces where individuals can come together to:
- Build Relationships: Foster authentic connections and trust across differences
- Advance Equity: Address power imbalances and promote justice in our work
- Share Knowledge: Exchange expertise and resources to support each other’s growth
- Collaborate: Co-create solutions that drive impact and systemic change
From Interest & Affinity Groups to Communities of Practice
Our community brings together two types of groups:
- Interest Groups, where individuals unite around shared topics or themes
- Affinity Groups, where individuals connect around shared identities or experiences
Groups are open to all individuals who share a passion for informal science education, including researchers, practitioners, partners, students, aspiring professionals, and anyone interested in advancing science education.
As members engage and learn from each other, these groups coalesce into a Community of Practice, where individuals collaborate, innovate, and drive impact.
Our conversations and dialogue are guided by our Community Agreements.
