New Research Findings and Professional Development Resources for Museum Educators

After three years of NSF-funded research on staff-facilitated family learning in museums, the REVEAL project team (http://www.informalscience.org/research-researching-value-educator-actions-learning-reveal) has released a new website with resources for museum educators, managers, and researchers: http://REVEAL.TERC.edu. The site is designed especially for those interested in museum educator professional development, family learning at interactive exhibits, and informal math education. All of the materials and videos are free to use and adapt for other projects and institutions.

The site includes:

• A video-based professional development program for museum educators (https://external-wiki.terc.edu/display/Reveal/Educator+Resources), with five modules and eight subtitled videos designed to help staff members reflect on and improve the strategies they use to support family learning at exhibits;
