Host: Visitor Studies Association

Please join the Visitor Studies Association (VSA)’s Justice and Anti-Racism FIG (JARFIG) for an informal conversation with several authors of the recent Curator article on diversity, equity, access and inclusion practices in informal science institutions. After a brief overview from Dr. Cecilia Garibay around the Organizational-Level Dimensions of DEAI Framework (Garibay & Olson, 2020), the article authors will share highlights from their study that used the framework to understand how informal science institutions are interpreting and implementing DEAI practices. VSA will then open up the space to webchat attendees for questions, reflections, and dialogue around how this work might inform or relate to your own practices. Reading the article is encouraged but not required to attend.

This webchat is free for all to attend!
