October 18th, 2013

Welcome to Albuquerque!

We invite you to visit CAISE at our booth (#424 in the Exhibit Hall). Our staff will have several computers set up with InformalScience.org to field questions about the scope of available resources, searching resources, and participating in our online community. We also will be gathering feedback about the interface and noting suggestions for future development.

While at the booth, view the new National Science Foundation Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) solicitation and the recently released Common Guidelines for Education Research & Development, as well as resources that may be helpful for preparing AISL proposals.

Join us for our session to Dig Deeper into InformalScience.org

Please join us on Monday, October 21st from 11:30-12:45 at the Convention Center. We’ll be sharing an overview of the resources and tools available on the site, about our development process, and contextualizing the site in the growing landscape of Open Educational Resources (OERs). There will also be time for discussion.

If you didn’t make it to the conference, you can follow along on our Twitter (@informalscience) and Facebook pages, where we’ll be sharing information and relevant resources for the sessions we will be attending. You can also follow the #ASTC2013 stream on Twitter for even more observations from attendees.

After the conference, visit the InformalScience.org Perspectives blog and News pages to find spotlights of informal STEM learning projects, updates from CAISE and the National Science Foundation, articles on special topics related to informal STEM learning, and timely announcements of funding and professional development opportunities.

We hope to see you in Albuquerque!
