Host: American Association for the Advancement of Science

This is a 4-webinar series from the American Association for the Advancement of Science to engage with equity- and justice-based considerations, approaches, curricula, pedagogies, and actions for advancing progress in sciences and science education.

The first webinar focused on Informal STEM Environments, the second on Communities and their Knowledges and the third on Engaging Non-STEM Undergraduates in Climate/Environmental Science and Sustainability to Promote Equity-Based Decision Making.

This fourth and final event asks:  How is science entangled with the public? What constitutes ethical and robust public engagement with science? This webinar will explore what constitutes the public nature of science, the importance of communicating science, from which points of view, with which audiences in mind, across what kinds of platforms.
