Bridging Afterschool & Informal Science Communities

September 26th, 2013

On Tuesday, September 10, CAISE presented a webinar on informalscience.org to the Afterschool Alliance and over 100 interested afterschool and out-of-school time (OST) stakeholders. CAISE recognizes the afterschool and out-of-school time community to be a rapidly-growing sector in the informal learning landscape, and welcomes the community to contribute and share their work on the site. The webinar showcased some of the features of informalscience.org and highlighted afterschool projects, evaluations, research and reference materials, and other resources that afterschool and out-of-school time directors and educators can use when planning and developing afterschool STEM programming and proposals. If you missed the webinar and want to learn more about the kinds of afterschool resources available on informalscience.org–and how you can contribute–listen to and view an archive of the webinar, and then and join the Afterschool and Informal Science group to provide feedback on the webinar, ask follow up questions, and keep up to date on the new resources for afterschool and out-of-school time available on the site.
