From writing exhibit content to writing annual reports, leading tours to leading an organization, and studying budgets to studying visitor experiences, work in Informal STEM Learning (ISL) calls for specific skills and knowledge and the ability to apply those competencies in a variety of contexts. ISL Professional Pathways was created by and for professionals who are doing this important and challenging work across a breadth of settings, including science and technology centers and museums, natural history museums, children’s museums, zoos, aquariums, nature centers, botanical gardens, planetariums, and other types of museums and cultural organizations.
