Making Meaning Symposium Report Now Available

Last October, the New York Hall of Science and Maker Education Initiative convened more than 150 informal educators, funders, learning researchers, policymakers, and leaders in the informal community for this third in a series of symposia. Building on the previous conferences, Making Meaning [M2] took a critical look at how to describe and document the learning that takes place when young people make. The full report can be found here: http://informalscience.org/research/ic-000-000-002-029/Making_Meaning While the maker movement "making" is relatively new to the informal STEM learning field, there is a growing body of knowledge pertaining to maker-related projects. Have you published research on making and/or tinkering, or been a part of the implementation and/or evaluation of a making project? Consider contributing to the ISE Evidence Wiki article on this topic, submitting your research, your project description, or evaluation report.
