CAISE staff and co-PIs will lead the following conference sessions:

An Evolving Landscape of Opportunity: Informal Education and STEM Research Working Together

Saturday, September 24 from 2:00-3:15 PM

How do scientists and Informal STEM Learning professionals work together for mutual professional learning? This session will explore current and potential models of collaboration through the lens of a new CAISE report that describes an expanding landscape of expertise and infrastructure for supporting synergy between the ISE and STEM research fields.

Using InformalScience.org for your Programs & Projects

Sunday, September 25 from 3:00-4:15 PM

InformalScience.org is a central portal to project, research, and evaluation resources designed to support and connect the informal STEM education community. The panelists in this presentation will share their tips for how to use InformalScience.org to research a topic, evaluate a project, and learn about the field.

Edit-a-Thon

Join CAISE for an interactive Edit-a-Thon Workshop to create content for our collaboratively generated Knowledge Base on Saturday, September 24 from 3:30-6:00 PM.  Our Edit-a-Thon workshops provide a different modality of interaction with colleagues at conferences and meetings, one in which substantive discussions on topics, approaches and lessons learned can be channeled into a resource that the wider field can benefit from.  If you are interested in participating, contact Grace Troxel for details at gtroxel@astc.org.
