Professional Bio

Katie Levedahl is the Director of Education at the Sciencenter in Ithaca, NY where she is responsible for implementing the Sciencenter’s educational strategy through effective management of staff and the development and delivery of innovative hands-on science programming that engages, educates and empowers. After spending several years as a middle school science teacher Katie transitioned over to informal science education in 2007 after working with the Carnegie Science Center and the Girls Math Science Partnership. Her current interests include the interface of science and society, specifically within the field of climate literacy.
