Professional Bio
Kathryn Slocum, Development Director, has 20 years of experience in fundraising for cultural and educational organizations, including the Hudson River Museum, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), the Municipal Art Society, the New York Hall of Science and the Art Institute of Chicago. She came to the Salvadori Center as a grants consultant in 2001 and joined the staff in 2007.
Concurrently, she is project director of a national collaboration between Habitat for Humanity and the Institute of Classical Architecture, matching up architects with Habitat affiliates throughout the country in an effort to raise the design quality of Habitat homes.
Active in community affairs, Kathryn is a board member of the Lower Hudson Conference of Historical Agencies & Museums, Jazz Forum Arts and the Dobbs Ferry Schools Foundation. In 2007 and 2008, she served as a panelist for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts’ Cultural Trust Institutional & Financial Stabilization Grants.
