Professional Bio

Angela Cristini received her Ph.D. in Biology from the City University of New York. She is a Professor of Biology at Ramapo College of New Jersey, directs the Master of Science in Educational Technology Program and educational activities at the Meadowlands Environment Center.

Dr. Cristini has been the project director for grants from the National Science Foundation the New Jersey Department of Education which utilize technology to improve the teaching of environmental and earth science in schools in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. She is presently directing a grant to connect older adults to the Meadowlands Environment Center using live Internet conferencing.

She has served as the Assistant Director for Environmental Research at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection on an 18 month sabbatical from Ramapo. She was an advisor to the New Jersey Legislature on environmental issues; and is the past president of the American Littoral Society.
